My Little Tadpole
Here he is! My little tadpole, London Avery. He came into the world on 23 January 2008 at 11:11pm weighing 7 pounds 11 ounces. Presh. Proud parents are David and Heather (who is a trooper).

I love the way you have tactfully slipped in the fact that you're not one of the parents... If you delete that from the blog, some may be totally convinced he's yours!

So yesterday I was watching the little monkey and I had to run about a million errands (going international does create such fusses!). When I'm out with London I often swap my gold band over to my left ring finger (I wear it on the right hand) because I figure that since people assume he's mine, I'd prefer they assume I'm married.
But yesterday I didn't wear the ring. And then I joked with Heather that it seemed less scandalous to claim he was mine, but say I'd adopted him. Just slightly less scandalous.
