found

In my abnormal psychology lecture hall I found a folded up bit of paper shoved down in the pencil groove. This is what it said,

"If you put it up to your ear you can hear the sound of the wind and the sea dancing with each other...and if you really listen, you can hear me whispering from New Zealand."

  • Which explains what it was doing in the theatre in which they teach abnormal psychology, presumably.

  • Uh! Well, it could have been from the romantic poetry class just before. Or the new age pantheistic "you are god" class just before that. Either one would end up with a similar poem, I think.

  • Oh, I'm quite capable of deferring to better and higher wisdom.

  • but of course. I'd expect nothing else from you.
Have you ever considered entering a trade? Say, brick laying?

  • Bricklaying reminds me of the Ooo Aah Bird. It lays square eggs. I don't think I'm cut out for a trade. I'd get all sweaty, and bothered, and gain unsightly calluses, and ruin my pretty-boy looks. I'm too metro to labour.

  • Understandable. But you know, I think it's just one of those things one must endure at least once. Not bricklaying, per se, but living through something as challenging as...flatting. Just to make you realise an education is important so you can afford to escape that lifestyle. Or something.
