drying

I'll update on Australia soon, but I wanted to share a piece of fantastic recent news from the girls' flat. This morning, after dropping off Angela at her morning radio show, Claire and I went to the weekly Dunedin Farmer's Market (as per usual). We were early enough that there were still pies at the pie stand and still free range eggs available at the free range egg stand.
The weather was surprisingly pleasant and we enjoyed a stroll while making our purchases. We stopped by Countdown (grocery) as I had to pick up some things for the American Thangsgiving dinner I am cooking tomorrow night for some friends. We were checking out when we saw it.

A drying rack! And a cheap one!

As we don't use our dryer often (to save on electricity) there is always a mad scramble for use of the banisters in the drying of laundry. Claire and I looked at each other with excitement in our faces and decided to purchase it. We were so ecstatic about this newest flatmate that we talked about it for a bit of the way home.

Whoever knew white plastic-coated metal could be so wonderful??? :o)
